Leatherique Cleaner & Conditioner Many high end and even lower-end cars today are equipped with leather interior.  While leather is very nice and possesses a great feel to many car owners, it does have some drawbacks.  Cleaning and conditioning leather can be a fairly simple process, however, many people just don't know what to use or what to do to properly clean and condition their car's leather interior.

Introducing Leatherique Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil!  Leatherique was founded in the 1960s and is still ran and operated by its original founder. Leatherique products and supplies are largely used in many of the top personal and private automobile collections and museums around the world, as well as being used by many of the leading experts in the field of leather care and preservation.  It is highly respected and in our opinion is the best system to thoroughly clean and condition a vehicle's leather.

The Leatherique system actually works backward as to what people may think it should be without knowing how it works.  The first step is to thoroughly vacuum the car's interior leather.  We also use compressed air and a blowgun to blow out the cracks and crevices of the leather.  Once that step is complete, it's time to apply the Rejuvenator Oil to the leather seats.

The hotter the temperature inside the car, the better.  If it's a hot and steamy 90-degree day outside, then that is the day to recondition the leather.  While it is best to do the system on a hot day, it can be done on a cold day as well.  Preferably, it is best to do it outside when it's 80 degrees or warmer, but if it's wintertime, then the inside of a  heated shop will work as well.  It also is a great idea to turn on the seat warmers if it is cold outside.  If we have a Leatherique reconditioning treatment scheduled, we typically start first thing in the morning, usually at 7 a.m.  The first step is to apply a very genuine amount of Rejuvenator Oil to the leather seats.  While wearing medical gloves, we use our hands to apply the oil.  We thoroughly apply the oil in all the cracks and crevices, working it in the best we can.  Once that process is complete, it's time to put the car outside in the sun and literally let it bake all day.  At the end of the day, we bring the car back into our shop, or if we are on a mobile service, then we can work on the interior outside as well.

One of the first things that we notice is how great the interior smells of a newly reborn leather scent.  The oil soaks deep into the pores of the leather making it nice, soft, and supple.  The leather will feel fantastic and we can always tell an immediate difference.

It's time to use the Leatherique Prestine Clean.  We use a spray bottle with a nozzle to apply the Prestine Clean.  Pay special attention to using the product in the cracks, crevices, stitches, creases, and seams.  Now that you've worked the area thoroughly, wet a clean microfiber towel in a bucket of warm water, wring it out, and then wipe down the leather to reveal a fantastic new look.  We like to wipe it down, rinse out the microfiber towel, and then wipe it once more with the same microfiber towel.  Now, use a clean and dry microfiber towel, and lightly buff the surface of the leather. Repeat this process on the remaining seats.

That's all there is to it.  We have found the Leatherique products to be fantastic and is our first choice as a true leather cleaner and conditioner.  Plus, it's safe!  It's Ph balanced, totally deep cleans and softens the leather without being slippery afterward, and cleans the stitching very well without leaving any residue,  The downside of the product is the dwell time.  It takes a few hours but the results are amazing and are a must-have service for the car owner that wants leather to be as perfect as it's going to get.
